Leadership in ministry is challenging. Pastors need more than leadership theory—they need practical principles they can put to work immediately. Heart2Serve provides leadership development created by experienced leaders for leaders. Our goal is to help pastors become stronger leaders who are better equipped to serve their churches, their families, and their communities.
Before you can effectively lead others, you must first lead yourself. HEART builds leadership character. Based on The Heart of Leadership by Mark Miller, the training develops the mindset, motivation, and personal attributes of leaders people want to follow.
Strong character is the foundation of leadership. SERVE builds on HEART by focusing on how leaders effectively lead others. Based on The Secret by Ken Blanchard and Mark Miller, participants explore vision, developing people, change, values, and balancing results with relationships. SERVE builds leadership skills.
Sometimes pastors need a place to talk. Heart2Serve provides a confidential environment where pastors can talk honestly about leadership, ministry, challenges, and opportunities. Through one-on-one coaching conversations, pastors have someone who can listen, ask questions, encourage them, and help them think through their next steps.
Pastors spend much of their lives encouraging other people. Sometimes they need someone to encourage them. Heart2Serve intentionally creates opportunities to invest in pastors personally—not simply as leaders, but as people. Through gatherings, meals, relationships, resources, and acts of generosity, we want pastors to know their ministry matters and someone is in their corner.
Heart2Serve believes financial limitations shouldn’t prevent a pastor from receiving quality leadership development and encouragement. Because of generous individuals and organizations who believe in investing in pastors, many leadership development and coaching opportunities are provided at no financial cost to participating pastors. Our partners make it possible to serve those who spend their lives serving others.
Heart2Serve was founded by Johnny Carr, whose background includes more than a decade with Chick-fil-A, fourteen years in full-time church ministry, and ten years in nonprofit ministry. A Maxwell Leadership Certified Speaker, Coach, and Trainer, Johnny combines practical leadership development with firsthand ministry experience. Heart2Serve brings those worlds together: practical leadership development, ministry experience, and a heart for pastors.
