HEART develops leadership character. SERVE develops leadership skills. Together, they help participants become leaders people want to follow and equip them to lead others more effectively.
Our training moves beyond theory to principles pastors and ministry leaders can apply in everyday leadership.
Leadership begins on the inside. The HEART of Leadership is a one-day experience focused on the character, mindset, and motivation necessary to lead well.
Based on principles from The Heart of Leadership by Mark Miller, participants explore five practical leadership attributes and identify personal growth opportunities. The first person you lead is yourself.
HEART emphasizes servant leadership, personal growth, and becoming a leader people want to follow. Participants leave with strategies they can begin implementing immediately.

Character is the foundation of leadership. Great leaders also develop the skills to lead others effectively. SERVE is a one-day experience designed as the next step after HEART.
Based on The Secret by Ken Blanchard and Mark Miller, SERVE explores five essential practices: casting a compelling vision, developing people, leading change, reinforcing values, and balancing results with relationships.
While HEART focuses on leading yourself, SERVE focuses on leading others. Participants leave with practical approaches for their churches, teams, and ministries.
SERVE builds the leader’s skills.
Leadership development continues after the training day. Participating pastors can combine training with one-on-one coaching to translate principles into practice.
Our yearlong leadership groups include two in-person training days and individual monthly Zoom conversations during the other ten months. These conversations provide room to discuss real leadership situations, work through challenges, and identify growth opportunities.

Heart2Serve training is intentionally relational. Groups of approximately six to eight pastors or ministry leaders create room for conversation, questions, and honest discussion about leadership.
The goal is transformation, not simply completing material. Thanks to generous partners, many training and coaching opportunities are offered at no financial cost to participating pastors. Some travel expenses may apply.
Others invest financially so Heart2Serve can invest personally in pastors.
